Hailing from Berkeley, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts brought a bright eyed Roan to New York City on a humid fall day. With an acoustic guitar slung over his shoulder, it was love at first sight when Ro set his eyes on the turning leaves in Washington Square Park. After years of realizing daydreams, this tenacious student of the game directs, cooks, takes photos and travels.
While working heavily in the commercial world, Roan has also produced several indie features. The first of which, The Browsing Effect, was distributed by Gravitas and is now streaming on Paramount +. Roan’s second feature The Surrogate was official selection at SXSW 2020 and is now streaming on STARZ. Roan is in development with his next feature, Stop Snitchin’ from Writer/Director Bill Horace.
As a commercial Producer, he has worked with companies ranging from Art Class, Mekanism, Radical Media, Tool of North America, AOL, Vice, Big Block Content, Nylon Magazine, and Vox Media. Roan is currently Executive Producer at PANOPTICA, an NY based commercial production company.
